What duties did you perform during your co-op employment?

"My responsibilities were to characterize materials and analyze that data. I am also required to give a presentation every so often to demonstrate my research to the group."

Most beneficial aspect of participating in the co-op program:

"The most beneficial aspect of the program is meeting so many people which are great contacts to have for future endeavors after I finish graduate school."

"I have been synthesizing and characterizing metal oxide magnetic nanoparticles in order to produce an RF antenna substrate."

Most beneficial aspect of participating in the co-op program:

"This co-op has provided me with many opportunities. I’ve been able to network with professors and companies from all over the nation. I’ve learned so many new skills and techniques that I can use when I enter graduate school and the ‘real world’."

What duties did you perform during your co-op employment?

"Synthesis and characterization of magnetic inorganic nanoparticles for host in a polymer matrix. Transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, impedance analyzer, network analyzer, and X-ray diffraction techniques were utilized."

Most beneficial aspect of participating in the co-op program:

"What I gained the most about the co-op experience was learning that I wanted to continue my education into graduate school to earn my Ph.D. degree.’"
