Co-op and Internship Testimonials
Andrew Rouhier, Sophomore,
1 Quarter in the Co-op Program (at time of testimonial),
Majoring in Mass Communications; and Motion Picture History, Theory, and Criticism,
Employed at The Dayton CW.
What duties did you perform during your co-op employment?
"My responsibilities consisted of aiding in the production of commercials in various stages of completion. Some tasks I performed include white balancing cameras for shots, shooting segments of commercials, meeting with clients, editing commercials with Final Cut Pro, and adding LiveType graphics to commercials. Additionally, I job shadowed members of the production staff doing various parts of their jobs including such things as creating Shared ID’s, working under a strict deadline, as well as creating logs which dictate when certain commercials would air on the network."
Most beneficial aspect of participating in the co-op program:
"From my experience, I now have a better understanding of day-to-day tasks involved in the television and commercial industry. Additionally, my supervisor was also able to critique some of my production skills so I could fine tune them."
