Steve Bostater, Senior,
3 Quarters in the Co-op Program (at time of site visit),
Major ing in Business Management / HR Management,
Employed at MeadWestvaco

What duties did you perform during your co-op employment?

"Responsible for acquiring, sustaining, and supporting all operating systems, databases, servers, client computing and telecommunications. Installed new computing infrastructure ('VISTA' - Windows XP) for over 1,500 users in the Dayton area."

Most beneficial aspect of participating in the co-op program?

"Without a doubt, the experience has been most beneficial. The opportunity to not only work for a Fortune 500 company, but also to work alongside professionals that have been in the business for 20, 30, some 40 years is something I could have never done had I not gotten a co-op. On top of that, I have been able to experience a merger of two companies with a net worth of over 8 billion dollars. Most people do not get to experience this in their lifetime, let alone in a co-op setting. So, the work experience has been great, the ability to build relationships has been great, and the pay doesn't hurt either."
