Disney College Program

For sophomores or above. WSU students must have an established, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above at time of interview and time of departure for the experience.

Co-op registration is available for this experience. Course credit may be available depending on major.

Opportunities for All Majors

The Disney College Program (DCP) hires students to work in paid positions at Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts, in Orlando, Florida; and at Disneyland, in Anaheim, California.  All majors are welcome to apply.

General Information

WDW College Program provides paid opportunities for undergraduate college students to work at Walt Disney World theme parks and resorts, in Orlando, Florida.  Positions range from basic cast member roles for first time applicants, to advanced internship positions for repeat College Program participants.

Students who participate in the WDW College Program build their résumé through work experience with an internationally recognized employer.  Previous participants report additional benefits, including effective professional development courses and the opportunity to make lasting friendships with students from around the world.

Recruiting Visits

Recruiters from Walt Disney World College Program visit Wright State University each year to present information about the program and set up interviews with candidates. Alternatively, students may view an electronic presentation at the program Web site.

Participation in either an in-person information session or an electronic presentation are required prior to the interview. A completed electronic application is also required prior to the interview.

For the On Campus Information Session

Students from other schools are welcome at the Wright State University information session.

Arrive promptly and dress professionally.  Bring a polished résumé as well as a printout of your online application.

Print out a copy of the completed application prior to electronic submission, and bring the printed copy to the information session.

Allow one and a half to two hours to attend the information session.  The formal presentation lasts one hour, followed by questions and interview sign up.

Interviews are conducted via telephone for several days after the information session.  Career Services advises appropriate demeanor and dress during telephone interview sessions, to convey professional image.

Details for Wright State Students

Eligibility and Registration

Wright State University students who will register the experience as a co-op or internship experience through Career Services, must have an established, minimum GPA of 2.5, at time of application and at time of departure; and must have achieved sophomore status. 

Open to all majors.
Registration for successful applicants is for non-credited co-op or internship.
Some students may qualify for credit, depending on their academic department.
Students have the option to take professional development courses while in Orlando, and may be able to arrange credit.

Individual students who receive financial aid (including loans and scholarships) from Wright State or private sources, or who are covered by parents' insurance policy, are advised to contact the various providers to determine requirements for continution of the award(s) or coverage. Students are advised to inquire about conditions resulting in activation of loan repayment or activation of grace periods. Requirements vary among providers and it is the student's responsibility to determine what status, residency, credit load, or other factors affect their awards and coverage.

Once selected for the program, students are advised to schedule an appointment in Career Services, E334 Student Union.

For students with advanced skills and experience, Disney offers a limited number of professional internships.

Students with previous Disney College Program experience and a successful Disney work record are most competitive.
